A Manhattan with Rye Whiskey instead of Bourbon is pretty damn tasty.

I prefer it with bourbon, but rye is my go to when I want to mix it up. Big fan of the Rittenhouse Rye in a Manhattan.

Pub fare affords you lots of cocktail options. Thai is much more delicate in terms of pairings, to be sure.

Maybe it's best to pick the drink first, then decide what to eat... Is there a cocktail you're craving?

It's pretty good, not great but I got it on sale and was pleasantly surprised.

Thai spices might fuck with the whiskey/scotch too much. You could strike a fun combo, but more than likely you'll just cramp your palette.

ya, my wife agrees on the pub fare tonight as well...the "cook" there is a good friend of ours and last night she said she would have a homemade white bean and ham soup on the menu tonight along with a butternut squash dish...
