A Manhattan with Rye Whiskey instead of Bourbon is pretty damn tasty.

I prefer it with bourbon, but rye is my go to when I want to mix it up. Big fan of the Rittenhouse Rye in a Manhattan.

That's a good one. Have you tried this stuff:

It's pretty good, not great but I got it on sale and was pleasantly surprised.

I've had this and really enjoy it. On the rocks with a splash of water, it's very smooth, almost sweet. Excellent for afternoons and early evenings.

Nothing. Gin and tonic is the most evolved form of gin drinks.

Hmmm I like a nice dry gin martini with 3 olives. A scotch and soda isn't bad but only with run of the mill scotch. I haven't really explored the world of cocktails like I should, I need to rectify that.

I prefer to taste my liquor so I usually don't go for foo foo drinks.

As a man who has had a variety of different sodas and juice in the house, I can agree with this. The only thing that approaches is Gin and Ginger Ale. That is also a tasty combo.

Yes. I feel like I actually like the taste of gin, which I can't say with other liquors. Tonic allows you to taste the gin but still gives it a little zest.

I actually had this last night at the Durby party. So interesting. It has a wasabi quality to it. The heat flares up for a few seconds and then mellows rather nicely. I liked it.

Threw down a few more gin & tonics last night. I'm considering getting some grapefruit juice and making what the internet refers to as a "greyhound."

We actually bought the regular, and then got gifted the Sapphire. Really liked the Sapphire in last night's gin & tonics.

Hendricks is also excellent.

I think the gin & tonic might be my favorite cocktail, but I want to see what other cocktails I can concoct with gin.

Do you have a more hearty ginger ale in your area? Around here we have Vernors, which is pretty amazing.
