In this thread you can talk about all things barbecued. I think I've only had "North Carolina" and "Texas" style barbecue. What are some of the others you've tried?

My favorite barbecue trailer in Texas: Franklin's

I haven't, I will look it up.

Best BBQ in Austin. It's off the I-35 service road that runs north, between 34th and 38th. Get there before noon because they usually sell out of food and there is almost always a line.

Franklin's has an espresso barbecue sauce. It's like nothing I've ever had. It is sweet, thick, with a light tang. They also have sauce that is more vinegar based that pairs well with the sausage. When you are in line they offer a sample of the brisket, ask if you like fatty or lean meat. Is there anything better tasting than fatty brisket?

"Here, the brisket (particularly the burnt ends), pulled pork, and ribs are all of a quality that meet the high standards even of Kansas City natives. It's the best barbecue in Kansas City, which makes it the best barbecue in the world."

- Anthony Bourdain regarding Oklahoma Joe's.

Ahh, I remember driving past it when my friends and I got into Lockhart. I've only been to Smitty's, which was good but not incredible. I felt like I walked into a time portal when I entered the place.

I'd like to try Kansas bbq. Memphis has some good brisket at the Blue City Cafe.

KC bbq is the best I've ever had. It's really the only thing I miss about living in KS.

What is Memphis BBQ known for? I was there for a night when I drove from Austin back to Chicago and know practically nothing about it.
