What do you drink with your BBQ? There is a soda (it's red) that is kind of specific to the South that my friend would always get, but I can't remember the name.

Have any of y'all had the S. Carolina style BBQ sauce? It's mustard based, so it's a bit different from what most folks are used to. However, the tangy / spicy flavor is amazing on pulled pork / chicken.
Here is one of the recipes (most probably have the ingredients at home):
4 cups yellow mustard (two 20-ounce bottles of French's mustard should do the trick) 8 ounces of beer (less for thicker sauce, more for thinner sauce) ½ cup apple cider vinegar 8 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 cup tomato puree 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon cayenne 1 tablespoon fresh cracked black pepper 2 teaspoons salt 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
So, I've never been to the restaurant, but the wife reminded me that I've tried some of their food. We went to a Slow Food BBQ cook-off last year, and they were one of the vendors. They're fantastic.

Lenny, please share your experiences with barbecue in this thread.
I'm not as well versed in barbecue as you guys. But I love pulled pork, and prefer the kind that is more vinegar-based. I also concur with whoever said they don't like barbecue sauce cooked into the meat.
