What are you guys pairing your sushi with? I've recently discovered the wonders that a floral sauvignon blanc can bring to a plate of fresh fish.

iced green tea...its much less filling and allows you to gorge on more sushi

The more I grow to enjoy the "fishness" of the fish, the less I want those flavors tainted by ginger.

Now that's a fair comment. Well then the ginger should be a palate cleanser, between mouthfuls. I don't usually eat any condiments with sashimi at all, except for soy and and possibly a tiny dab of wasabi.

Hey man, I'm not doing anything wrong. I use both methods at different times, whatever I feel like, in the knowledge that only one of them is technically 'correct'. Or are you going to say Picasso was doing art 'wrong' as well?
