Are all of you getting enough fiber?

As most of you know, I have to increase my fiber intake to help with my 'roids. I bought a few different products but the most interesting are these:

http://www.amazon.com/Vitafusion-Fiber- ... _ps_t2_t_7

5 grams of fiber per 2 gummy bears! They taste great but made me feel bloated after eating. I'm not gonna eat them around lunch tomorrow and make sure I have a full glass of water with them :)

Adding simple things like wheat bagels and grapenuts or raisin bran, etc. won't hurt either.

I think we could all stand to be more regular, really.

Problem is wheat bagels taste like shit. So do black beans. And most things that have fiber.

I don't like them now, but I loved them up until I got my tonsils removed. Then some of my favorite foods because foods I totally didn't like anymore. I toasted them and put a thin layer of peanut butter (and jam sometimes) on them and they went down easy.

Lots of cereals have high fiber content and are delicious. Or I like really plain food.

Yah, I've been eating crunchy raisin bran for a few months till I figured out I was lactose intolerant :? but I recently discovered lactose intolerant milk that tastes almost identical so I'm back to eating that as of this morning.

But that's one of the only fiber foods I like. I'm now eating more pears, peaches, apples which all contain lots of fiber.

I'm pretty proud of myself.

And you can't give me shit about not seeing a doctor. Cause I did! And they told me to eat fiber! And I am!

I feel good right now but I still think this fiber thing isn't going to be enough to cure it and I will ultimately need rubber band &(@$*@^#*@! or worse...

But I'm just glad I'm not in pain like I was last weekend. Man oh man. Bad. If I was around a computer I'd have posted every 30 minutes.

Black Beans are pretty amazing, and not only do they have high fiber, but whatever makes them black is super good for you. Dark foods like Purple, Red, and Blue and super heart heathy.

For the most pound for pound healthy food, loaded with fiber, eat blueberries.

http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tnam ... ice&dbid=8

I usually make a fruit smoothie in the morning, with plain greek yogurt, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and flax seed meal (also loaded with fiber). So between the bananas, blueberries, and flaxseed, I'm getting like 60% or more of my dietary fiber.

Yah, we eat a smoothie with all the things you said a few times a week - even before I was told to increase fiber consumption. I was amazed at how much fiber is in blueberries, rasberries, and strawberries.

I usually eat a high fiber bar for breakfast and have begun trying to incorporate a lot more fruit. (tons of raisins blueberries etc) Sometimes I take extra fiber via chew tabs or I have a jar of metamucil under the cabinet.

Anything to avoid going to the fucking doctor again. Anything involving healthcare in this country is almost worth dying to avoid.

Corn and Blackbean salsa is glorious.

Maybe you aren't making black beans the right way. I boil them with green pepper, onion, garlic, black pepper, and a touch of both white vinegar & cayenne pepper. Then simmer for a while (roughly 15 min). Then drain most of the water and pour them over some brown rice. That's a lot of fiber (and other nutrients). Tastes awesome.

Or you can find a recipe for Cuban style black beans, which are one of the most delicious things on Earth, but extremely hard to get right. All of my family is Cuban and still only a couple people have made them perfectly.

Steel cut oatmeal for breakfast is a great choice too.
