Let me re-ask the question. Why did you decide to take the vitamins you take? Why is Sandler taking a B-complex vitamin and I'm not? Am I making a mistake?

Per the IOM, a lot of the vitamin D claims are either false, or just not proven yet. They did a big study, and found that a lot of the test to determine your levels are flawed, and most people, even in the far northern / southern hemispheres are not vitamin D deficient (contrary to want many doctors are telling people).

Right, they go hand in hand. I was just saying that because a lot of "experts" are sending out unproven or even false claims that Vitamin D is the miracle vitamin (it's actually a hormone, not a vitamin), and we're all deficient. However, to get the benefits of Calcium, you need Vitamin D.

I take a multivitamin to improve my all around health and awesomeness, a vitamin C so I don't get Scurvy, and an Omega 3 fish oil tablet to improve heart health and brain function (I don't think it's working).

I take a multivitamin because my diet is decent but not great. I'm also a smoker (tho I just recently quit) and drink more beer than I should.
The B & C vitamins are water soluble, so your body doesn't store them like it does with the others. I like to keep my body saturated with them. It's a personal choice, and I have no idea if it helps me or not. I do know that there are a few doctors that think Vitamin B & C recommendations are way too low, and it's useless to take just one or a couple B vitamins. You have to take all of them at once (and with food). So I take the 50mg complex, with a couple vitamin C pills with my lunch.

Fish oil too, I forgot that one.
I get sick super easy, so I take them for a probably minuscule boost. Vitamin D because of where I live, fish oil and multivitamin for the and my general health.

Why the Vitamin D because of location? I never knew it was a huge issue outside of, say, Alaska. I live in Buffalo which isn't exactly sun city and I've never had an issue with vitamin D deficiency.
