I eat yellow and orange bell peppers nightly in my salad. I love them.

Green are no bueno. Red is fine but yellow and orange much better.

Personal opinion, SP. After having peppers with higher concentrations of capsaicin in them, the bell peppers are worthless. "Once you go black, you never go back."

:? Capsaicin is what makes peppers spicy. No one eats green bell peppers for spiciness.

No shit, Sherlock.

.....the use of the word "higher" in your statement implies a moving from a place of necessary concentration to that "higher" place of concentration, i.e. the spicy peppers you speak of. The only logical place where one could place your implication of the "lower" necessary concentration would be on the back of that bell pepper, whether it be worthless, green, bleh, meh, or racy.

Requiring no special detectivity skills with which to do so, "bard d." drew the exact and correct implication from your post as it was written.

Bell peppers are serious business.
