There are quite a few people that care. This person is selling a product that the buyers could get here for free (minus blanks and postage). Not to mention it pisses off the tapers causing them to want to hold on to their recordings so this seller (and others like him/her) doesn't make money off of their tapes.

every pearl jam fan in the world is not here. i'd gather to say there are a lot who don't know where to get stuff like this. so why exclude them?
like i said...who cares? there are better things to put time and energy towards than being an ebay police officer. go do something great for your community with that energy. let people enjoy pearl jam however they want.

If you don't like this discussion then why did you open the thread?
People have their own opinions on why they hate these sellers. For me it is all about the tapers. I have taped a show (non-pj). You can't really appreciate what that person does. You can't even enjoy the show because you are focused on the recording or security. So for me it is about not pissing the tapers off.

Why watch tv when you could spend that time making the world better?
Why buy a ticket to a sporting event when you could donate that money to cure cancer?
I understand you like ebay. That's cool. We all have different reasons for the thing we do and believe in. I don't understand why you can't let the people who post stuff in this topic have their own opininon. The "who cares" attitude isn't very open minded.

it's not that i am a fan of ebay. the thing i don't get is why everyone wants to make a big deal out of it. great you don't piss the tapers off. how do you know the seller is not the taper? maybe a taper has this guys selling his shows. who knows.
the thing is, there are a lot of people out there that this is their only way to get a bootleg show on cd/dvd. should they be denied b/c a few people in this thread don't think it is right or don't agree with it or just want to play mister police officer?
when people sell the downloadable bootlegs, the people who are buying it are often people on this board or the pit that cannot afford the internet access to be able to download. they have a very slow connection or are at work or whatever. i understand that is illegal...yes. but for an audience recording? why not just let it be? why not give the person trying to buy the show some happiness. let them be a fan...maybe they rather have the audience recording b/c that is what they have been used to for the last umpteenth years?
not only are you stopping the seller (which is great) but you are also taking away from a fellow fan...
so again...who cares...just let them be...
