Is the list on the first page updated?
I have these shows on VHS, probably 2 gen.

03.06.2000 Scotland
08.06 Paris France
06.06 Cardif wales
04.06 Manchester england
26.05 San sebastian spain
29.05 London wwembley arena

maybe if no one other got them, i could find my old vhs player and look into the quality of them

I'll have to check, it's been almost 10 years since I last watched them.

Is there a circulating copy of 9-6-98 Knoxville? I did not see that on the list and it was my first show. Would love to have it if it's available.

The cascais vids that I have are the same sources that are described on this archived page of the 5H video guide :

http://web.archive.org/web/199904291529 ... v1996.html

However, I can't seem to find the 11/24 tape, might have left it at my parents house when I moved out years ago, I'll find out next week. Just checked the 11/25 tape and it looks better than I remembered.

thanks for the info.

there are tapes for those angles available.. just not totally good... they are supposedly confirmed 1st but realisticaly more like average 2nd gens.

if that second night was a confirmed 1st gen with good quality it might be as good as we would get (taper has unfortunatelly passed away). if it's +/- we already have somehting like that to work with, we are just waiting for something better.

I remember that I had some doubts if the 11/25 was actually 1st gen, but at least I got it from the guy who claimed he taped it. And I think I got his details from someone with a good reputation. Damn, it's been too long to remember all the details and I have no emails backed up from back then. I could do a small sample clip using my vcr => philips standalone dvdr so you can see what the quality is like.

that would be great!
and make it easy to verify for sure if it's an upgrade from the current best source.

I have a nice 8/23/91, but I'm not sure what version it is (far or middle). It's actually from pretty close up, with some guy with a nervous tick that twitches the whole show. :?

Quick question for ya..What's going on with the Randalls Island night 2 vid? Is there actually a VCD out there currently with this or only a video? I really want to get this for my Supervisor since he was at the show and he did me a huge favor by letting me have off of work to go to Chicago (It helps to have a PJ Obsessed boss . Thanks so much

Mi

first off, any master you can get - don't hesitate

second - the first night is circulating, the second one is notoriously not.

With the mix ALD/Aud audio sources of both these shows already circulating, this is good news.

However, when I look at the list established last November, I see alot of "awaiting for..." and/or "waiting on transfer" and there's been a lack of updates or happenings since then. Not bitching here, just a thought...

well i mean i can't get the master to keep, but i gave the guy a ride from toronto to albany and hartford, he said he hadn't really been into trading/taping the last few years, but he just bought a sweet new camera, and it is quite nice. anyway... i will get in touch and see what night it is, but he said if it isn't around he can lend it out to the powers that be. i made that one, and it didn't go over too well.. so i will pass it on.
