Any updates to this thread at all? Anything been transfered? Over at GlobalVoodoo they have a ton of non-DVD committed VHS tapes of low gen that we are working on. If someone wants help in converting anything on the main post or can offer any info...

I think one of the reasons we aren't seeing many updates in this list is that a lot (most?) of the people that have been working on these tapes over the years are currently busy working on masters etc. from the current tour. I'm sure once all the masters from this tour have been put to dvd, you'll start to see some of these tapes getting worked on.

Another reason you don't see a lot of progress on these type of lists is that putting together a dvd is a lot of hard work, especially if you're using an old, stretched VHS tape and most people aren't going to dedicate their time to putting together a nice dvd unless they're sure a better source isn't going to show up the anytime soon (and that's always a gamble with VHS tapes.)

Here's one I haven't seen mentioned. This guy is the filmer of Mansfield, MA 8-29-00. MAybe this is already known about, and if so then pardon the interruption.
He will only trade with other filmers, or those who have DVDs of a few certain bands, the info is on his page. I don't fit either of those requirements myself.

I've seen this show in a few lists on etree but in VCD format.. I collected (S)VCDs back then and never got this one:

06/28/93 : Sjohistoriska Museet - Stockholm

So, without asking for anything, and since there's no info on the 1st post, is there any good source for this besides the VCD version?

cheers

why dont you see if you can borrow the tape to transfer. tell the person their tape will come back along with a dvd.

just make sure its a low gen tape.

to warn everyone about these....i def want to see them done but it needs a true expert on audio. the tape is stretched so when it was put to dvd, the audio from the best known source does not match at all. we tried cuts and splies after every song and it just doesnt work so if you REALLY know audio and tricks that you can do, please try this because many have tried and failed.
