I managed to get an extra poster to Shepherds Bush gig last night (which, was incredible!!!)
I've never sold a poster before, so could someone tell me whats the best site to use. Are there any 'rules' you have to follow for selling posters...I wouldn't mind getting as much money as I can so I can afford to go to the manchester and london gigs aswell.
Thanks for any info!
The guy's first post here is an excited flipper post.....

anyone non-US (probably Canada) received the Toronto/Chicago/Calgary/San Franciso poster? can you tell me what the declared value was? (trying to decide if I get the West Coast posters sent home or to the US).
$30 is JUST over the tolerance for customs, so I could get nicked for an extra $20 if that's what they declare

I'm looking to get the 3 early Philly shows coming up...if anyone that is going that isn't going to buy a poster that could help a brother out, shoot me a PM...it's greatly appreciated...I'll send something your way as well...

I know Im still quite new here, but is there any kind soul that can get me a 10/31 Philly poster? Either via 10c or on the day of the actual gig? I will paypal the money to you before hand and such, and cover all costs.
Thanks in advance, and again, I fully understand if noone wants to do this.

Hey guys, please point me in the right direction if there is a thread on this already.
WTF with the poster presale? I get into work this morning, check my email, and the 31st is sold out already.
1. I could swear it was 2 per member, now its 1, so were back to the poster crunch no matter what, since my brother will want one.
2. How is the poster thats 1 per presale member sold out? You know how many presale people you have, you know how many posters you have. PRINT ENOUGH POSTERS FOR THE PRESALE PEOPLE! Seriously, they are momentos, help us out.
Send out an email with a time if they are in limited quantity like you do for tickets.

Im pretty disappointed here.
1. One per member, not 2.
2. They only had a limited amount of presale posters... there are more printed, they will be at the venue.

they had stacks and stacks of posters at the Chicago shows. there was a table at each entrance with a stack of at least 100 posters and no one was even walking up to the table. relax, you'll get your posters. they've seen the light and realize that printing more just means more money for them and less for the flippers.

Yeah, but for cool posters it won't be that way.
The first presale did allow 2 per member, which seemed appropriate, so each person in the ticket pair could get one if they wanted one. It seems 10C is still working out what they think is the best way (or better way) to do it.
Lots of venues don't have separate tables for posters. They are there with the rest of the merch and even though they have a 1 per person policy on posters at the shows, you know that some people always find a way around that and now people will have them delivered to their homes AND buy them at the venue if they are good.

the quantity will still be there. I think they have increased the number of posters, at least from the stacks I saw. and with prices where they are, I dont think the non-nerds are buying them (i.e. the casual fan at the shows), no matter how cool the poster is.
I'm not worried about getting 10/30, the only show which I myself didnt get 10C tix for but am attending.

Same here. It will make the drive to the venue much more relaxing, knowing that I'm already covered. I can actually enjoy the show fully, rather than dealing with all that pre-show stress.
Now when the hell are they going to announce the opener for these shows?
