What's your take on those people who sign up for b&p, but fail to send the actual package... I've had a couple of those experiences lately... :shake:

i really don't understand the point in signing up and never send the media...

I have had many of those over the years. I think it is nice to get a note to say they are not doing it. I did not follow though once when i signed up but sent a message saying I was not doing it so the person knew not to wait for a parcel. This can effect the burner if you have stuff on your harddrive ready to go and would like to take it off to free up some extra space for example. With torrents b/p's have died to a crawl. I never torrent mostly due to my very limited download limit and also I have never learnt how to do it.

it's very easy to do.
and you should be able to find an ISP with no or a high limit for not much more, even very possibly less money ;)

i've pm'd once, that's it. eventually, i doesn't bother me too much.

of course you forget things, but why bother signing up if one doesn't send the parcel...
..and taking the slot from someone who might have really been interested...
when i sign up for b&p, i try to send the package asap, so i don't forget it.

kp,

Maybe you are thinking of a B&P I've offered a couple of weeks ago. The 8 available slots were filled in only a couple of hours but only you and dpupenya actually sent your packages.

Unfortunately, with my job, I don't have much time to go to the post office so I was waiting for more packages to come in. I've finally sent your dvds back yesterday, I'm sorry about this.

I think then when people just jump on an offer like this without thinking about it, if they fail to deliver the package, then they just take one spot down for somebody who would care for it.

I've got a message from clint saying he would not send the package anymore which I think is just the normal thing to do when you respect other people.

I've never offered many B&P's and this will certainly be the last one.

I believe KP was referring to incoming packages for a B&P he offered.

b+p's/trades/freebies should be fun. nobody should come down on you man.
took me a while for me in the beginning. now it's like like a quick snap of the fingers, or burning/packaging .. while in sleep mode. ha. cause it's so routine.

i don't mind the wait for a package to come in. i got hundreds of stuff in the past few weeks, i haven't got yet to organizing & verifying. so it takes time.

How long does it normally take for a B+P? I've been waiting over a month for one. :(

PM them and explain what has happened, it may have been lost in the mail perhaps?

Not many people offer b/p's here any more because not many sign up but people that still do b/p's are pretty reliable, I believe :D

It was on synergy. And I know they recieved the disks I sent cos they already confirmed that. I'm just worried about PMing them and annoying them. :?

how was it shipped? via airmail or groundmail?
if shipped internationally, did you fill out the customs sticker?

Groundmail. First class, which means it's a 1-2 day delivery. The guy probably hasn't burnt them yet. :?

Nope there was a mix up and the discs got lost in the mail, unfortunately. These things happen I guess. It's all sorted though. Thanks for the help man. :)
