I'm hoping that it doesn't suck as much as most of the stuff on Riot Act

This is totally uncalled for. Me rikey Riot Act.
It's not awful (especially compared to most mainsteam rock music these days) but it ranks @ the bottom of the heap as far as PJ material is concerned.

Anyone knows a good program to record the audio stream from that radio?
I've been trying the software on http://www.polderbits.com. It's really easy to use, however it saves the things you record as mp3s. It isn't that big of a deal to me but I can see why people are anti-mp3 also.

If you really want to make the anti-mp3 crowd's ears stand on end, talk about a HORRIBLE barely audible recording but for which the sound is SHN/FLAC straight from the masters vs a much better and clear audience recording that has been compressed to 256kpbs MP3 and for which, for the sake of argument, the masters and any FLAC/SHN have been destroyed. MANY of the anti-mp3 crowd will say the flac/shn is the better recording. I kid you not. And I say this as someone with no live PJ shows in mp3s.

you can always transcode
but you can hear a difference between 24/and or 16 bit vs. mp3.
especially taking a 24 bit dither to 16, you get more dynamic range, anyone could tellt he difference.
Just listen to the 2005 official boots they are all mp3 as compared to the FLAC official boots of 2006.
"And I say this as someone with no live PJ shows in mp3s" i hope you said this means that they dont ahve any of the 2005 boots?
Probably only the audience recordings.
Nah, I took the mp3s and converted them to FLAC
Yeah, just the auds for now.
