Hello all,

Their tour starts in a few days and I'm pleading/begging for anyone with the resources to tape their shows please do. I'll reward you handsomely for a complete well done vid. Those of you who know me can tell you that I have plenty to offer in return. I'll even dig through my archives and release something huge if the tape warrants it.

Perhaps you should explain that this is Greg Dulli and Mark Lanegan's new band.

well thats sound interesting.. I will check out the april Vienna gig, but I don't have any taping experiences or resources yet. I would get an external mic for my zen, but the problem is that it records only to lossy 160 kbps wma.

actually they are, missed it as it's not with the other UK dates..
at Koko (which has like no security whatsoever, never been even patted there, you could walk in with a studio camera for all they care!)

don't have a camera though...and saving money for the PJ tour..

I love Mark Lanegan's music, but after seeing him on stage with Isobel Campbell, I decided never to spend any money on him ever again. Worst. Show. Ever.

You shouldn't stay on this bad note. I've seen him with Isobel, but also the Queens and the Soulsavers: the Isobel show was really sloppy and boring, but I will not miss a chance to see Mark Lanegan if he plays in the neighbourhood.

I'm going to the Paris and London shows, I'll bring my recording rig in.

i still listen to your Soulsavers boot now and then  .

i went to the NYC show later that year myself and it was quite possibly the best show i've ever been. i wish i had recorded the whole thing rather than just some clips :(

Would be really cool if you could record those gigs :)

Yeah,

Sorry I suppose that would have helped. Mark Lanegan is my favorite vocalist and "most" projects he's been involved in kick ass. The Isobel shows were bleh and I can't stand Dulli but the new album is promising and since he rarely tours there isn't much out there in regards to film. Even if you hate it the vid I'll release in return for your effort will be well worth it.

If I were you I wouldn't post this on dime. It sucks to hoard, but sometimes you have to it in order to get stuff you want. Just my 2 cents.

Not bad,

Did you film or just do audio? There will be plenty of audio available in the coming weeks but video is what I'm looking for imparticular. As for the hoarding comment do as you choose but I've given alot back to the community that's helped me in the past and will continue to do so and it feels great.

it's kind of weird, because the live stream was better quality than the final result which leads me to believe i probably fucked up a setting to not capture it at highest quality.

kinda the same quality for me. i had the ada (adaptor) the recommended recording mode for wm recorder. what i've been using for year's. and there's only 3 settings for the stream at the blue-room. the webcast wasn't streamed in 700kbps. it's highest was 500kbps.
