Spotted a problem with pj1998-03-05 Melbourne, Australia (Give Way + Promo)

There is a file missing (track 5 and maybe the non-fade-out of track 19)

No problem as I have this compilation (RidleyBradOut's here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=83924)

Thanks for pointing this out. I'll look into it and see what I screwed up!

Cool. Great compilation BTW.

In the meantime I have found it worthwhile to flatten the tree structure. I removed all "disc 1" "disc 2" folders and also the folders which contain the multiple sources. Now I have a single folder for each FLAC set (e.g. pj1992-03-02 Den Haag, NL (BSR remaster)). I am retagging for consistency (a few sets are untagged), I have added .ffp files and I have renamed each file eg pj1992-03-02d1t01.flac. Some have the trackname appended but this is optional.

Hey lip. Yeah, I did something similar to this with mine as well. I didn't want to alter them at all before I sent them to you, but yeah, it helps.
That is cool. I'm cool with renaming and retagging though. It isn't an issue with FLAC as the fingerprint is unaltered. You need the library to be usuable. I feel the set should have .ffp files accompanying it though, though this is not crucial as it is contained in the FLAC.

Has this mighty project made its way to Australian shores yet?

If not I'm thinking I might just have to take the plunge on an international B&P if one of you kind souls is still offering...

I'm doing an HD&P first for someone, and actually that may make it's way to a friendly type near you.

ridley, thanks for that link. Would you happen to have the 320 kbps mp3 versions of "release" and "spin the black circle." Those drop outs are annoying and I'm having a problem with a flac conversion.

thanks,

jared

What's wrong with the Flac conversion? Editing mp3s is not something you really want to do, when you save it you'll run the sound through the mp3 script again and have a lossy compression of a lossy compression.

Just wanted to bump this. I recently was given a shitload of blank dvds (sony), so anyone who might want this just has to pay for the shipping.

Its up to the people I sent these to, but I know this collection is in the UK now and on it's way down under, so if you ask nicely I'm sure they'll hook you up.

Thanks so much again Ruddo!

If any Aussies would like to be hooked up B&P-style, drop me a PM.

I just sent this to him, so he's all set.

I'm closing my offer for now, guys. My external burner is acting funny, I may have to buy a new one. I think I managed to get this to Canada, U.K., and Australia, hopefully some generous fans there will share the set.

Awesome job again to you guys that put it together. It's a real nice one to have. Thanks!

Tom (upperdecker)

UPDATE: This is being sent to Greg, so look for him to reoffer soon. Thanks.

Indeed...thank you upperdecker, and if anyone still needs this, I can B+P, but currently only via a hard-drive B+P, which is the simpler way to go anyways. My lil laptop doesn't have a DVD burner. It's ~ 60 gigs, I believe.

This has been great listening to these shows, some of which I had but hadn't listened to for years, and some that I'd never heard...Thank you again for putting this together.

Missoula 2005 show: is this the most error-prone show ever? I couldn't get through even half of it, so maybe the 2nd half is better, but I swear it is a complete nightmare. It's a shame, because it is such a cool-looking setlist.

1/14/95: Wow...for being Jack's 1st show, they sound loose, relaxed, on. Great, short show.

Hartford 1996: Is this really an ALD source? To me, it sounds like an audience recording, 100%. Compare this to any other ALD sourced show, and there is a huge difference. You can hear the folks close to the taper, the sound is distant, etc. It's a great AUD recording nonetheless, but I really doubt that this really is ALD. I also realized while listening to this (after listening to some 1998 shows) that I really do like Matt as the live drummer better than Jack (although I prefer Jack in the studio).

Seattle 98 spenno remaster: Much better! Finally some guitars and bass...nice job!
