Yesterday, I went for the 50 buck one. Woke up this morning, thinking & thinking and said to myself .. "mistakes in my life must end damit" (something of that nature, lol) .. so I changed my mind, messaged amesbros, cancelled the Regular Edtion & went for the Limited Edition one. It would be a sweet Christmas present for sure. Big thanks to Jenne over at amesbros for helping me out.

So what was the mistake? Buying the $50 one or that you were about to buy the $200 one?

Looks like I picked a good day to have a read of RM or I would have missed it. Went the limited edition one too. Looks very nice indeed Though it is another thing that will sit on the shelf and look good.

I know down the road I would kick myself not having this. Christmas is coming, so why not. If the book comes all wrap'ed up and stuff, I might also buy the 50 buck one two. It would make one great Christmas stocking i'll tell ya, but it say's no guarantee it would make it that time.

I have to admit the $200 version sounds pretty cool. I'm sure they'll be selling on eBay for more than $200 after they're gone. But damn, $200? I suppose it's a fair price compared to other art books that size/quality/features, but compared to the $50 version it seems outrageous.

If someone was about to be my secret santa and buy me this book, i totally wouldnt mind which version it is . theoretically i would go with the 50 bucks one, but the postage is 40 dollars, so i cant afford it, no way . I am counting every cent now.
You all know my work, and you all know it would absolutely help me in making your dvd shelves bright and colorful. This is perfect timing for my upcoming projects also. Theres material i never hoped for. So far youve seen what i can do with small internet pictures and photo shots of posters. Imagine how such a book would help:)
I really need your help. Anyone? Under promise i would do my work at 500% at least

got the limited ed one too. Hopefully the $45 postage and handling will mean they get some decent packaging for post, unlike the lp's they ship.
G'Day sir Sending you an email later with the huge list of DVDs I'm missing
Just about everything I have ever got from 10c has had a dent or two - tho i got two copies of immagine in cornice and they were perfect. Maybe I should have bought a shirt with this order too

You're a good man Going through the list on JR to see what I've missed and what's been updated. Hopefully not missing that many except for some 06 / 07 ones. Gotta learn to back my shit up better
Got my dvds last week and the cd arrived same day - was a good day. I've really enjoyed the cd - have it on in the background when doing paperwork.
Hey if Clint doesn't have portugal and Den Hagg I should hook him up - I let him down on a DVD a while back....

Hey Chris, if you need a hook-up with anything just let me know. You helped me a couple of months back, so now it's my turn to help you out. Besides, it's only 3 hours a package has to travel. lol

Appreciate the offer and might take it you up on it. Michael is always sending me stuff and I'm such a slack prick been years since I've returned the favour.
And yes it is now the aussie traders thread

Hello all. Better make an appearance in the Aussie thread. And like any BBQ I won't show up empty handed either.
Here's a link to a Live mix I made recently that I offered up in the OB "New Mix Thread".
In case any of my Aussie brothers and sisters are interested. There's some pretty good stuff here, if I do say so myself. Just don't play "Stagger Lee" around your Mum or your kids. Listening to our (possibly) next Minister for the Environment go off about US nuclear ships brings a smile to my face. Bon Scott ACDC is always good too.
---From OB Thread ---
I think that I've become a live music junkie, mainly courtesy of Dime.
Here's a mix of some stuff I've downloaded over the past month or so. Generally all the quality is pretty good - I'm a FM and SBD fan primarily, but there are some great AUD's out there, for sure.
Nothing too surprising, mostly Rhythm and Blues here. Pretty straightforward like meself.
Setlist:
01. Tom Waits - Standing on the Corner (Agora 19771025) 02. Thom Yorke - After the Goldrush (Bridge School 20021026) 03. Mogwai - Yes I am a Long Way From Home (Gothic Theatre 2006-05-03) 04. Arcade Fire - No Cars Go (BBC 20070628) 05. Shins - Unreal (Sydney 20070809) 06. SRV - Texas Flood (Red Rocks 19850619) 07. John Lee Hooker & Santana - Boogie Chillun (San Fran 19860623) 08. ACDC - Gone Shootin (Boston 19780821) 09. Imagined Village - Tam Lin, Staines Morris (Womad UK 20070708) 10. Midnight Oil - Hercules (Glastonbury 19930626) 11. Nick Cave - Stagger Lee (Beacon Theatre 20020502)
I edited very minimally so there's some interesting transitions. SRV owns. Stagger Lee was on the playlist even before Cono's thread the other day. JLH is worth the price of admission alone.
Cause it's live stuff I've encoded at 320kb. Hence its a 172MB download. Just so you know...

Hey Varis,
Interesting selections there. Always loved stagger lee and definitely interested to hear what nick cave has done with it.
You should check out the story behind the song - doesn't go quite like the song. Stagger Lee was a pimp and I think a cabbie who shot the bloke from the song in the stomach when the guy stole his hat. The song version of events is cooler tho
And live music is the only way to listen to really good music.
