I'm purging a little datea to make some HD space to see what else I can come up with...if I dare...but I still have about 60GB tied up from this offer:

http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/vie ... hp?t=32744

Hmm...Best Buy has a 200GB Seagate for $80 this week...

If John gets these two b&p's filled, he'll be burning 220 discs already. No way i'm ever going to top that (or would want to top that for that matter), so you can count me out already :wink: i still might offer some b&p's this week, but just for fun.

I agree. I already have my huge b&p offer going and I am expecting over 150 discs to burn. I will offer up some b&ps this week but don't expect to win.

But its not about winning its about spreading good music! :D And making good friends along the way. :D

Yep. People are actually getting it a Circuit City via pricematch, down to $72.99.

One of my Western Digital 200s crapped out the other day, so my second drive is no longer running in RAID. Gotta get it RMA'd- or perhaps replaced with one of these Seagates - got two of 'em already - nice, quite drives...5 year warranty!

Haha...220's not too more than I've done in the past week, anyway...no biggie! :wink:

Whats the likely hood of an external HD crapping out? I have 2 of them and they contain pretty much everything I own and would die if they got ruined.

It happens.

You can make a nice DVD set of what you've got on 'em, if the data isn't changing ofen.

Ugh...thats what I was afraid of. It means transfering about 300GB of data to DVDs....but I guess its better than losing everything.

The WD website has it there too, and I think they are in stock. But I guess Im finding out its probably best to back it all up on DVD now, rather than wish I did after it crashes.

WD = 1 year warranty (usually - some have 3)
Seagate = 5 year warranty

We won't even mention Maxtor...I've got a stack of dead 160GB Maxtors around here somewhere, from years back, as a reminder to never buy them again.
