This is regarding the removal of Demetrios from Red Mosquito. For years he was a very valuable member of this community, but in the last several months his behavior had become increasingly erratic, mean spirited, almost violent towards several members of the board, and would extend beyond RM, turning into a general campaign of harrassment across the entire on line fan community. He was repeatedly given many chances to change the way he was acting, which only led to an intensifying of that behavior. Ultimatley the decision was made to remove him from Red Mosquito. This was not an easy choice to make, and D was given far more chances and infintiely more leeway than we would have given almost any other poster, in recognition of his service to this community. The decision was made after extensive discussion by all the mods and admins, and was unanimous.
We're mentioning this only becuase we do not want to see rumors spread on the site and because much of this has been hidden from public view, with Demetrios frequently taking down offending posts and mods simply removing them from public view. We do not want to see the trading forum turn into a gossip site, and so if there are any questions or concerns please direct them, in PM, to myself or another mod. Keep in mind, however, that these are essentially private matters and we will not be sharing stories, messages, etc.

Thanks for the post. I had been wondering about my fellow maritimer. I hope everything is going fine with him as that seems like strange behavior for D.

I'm going to go ahead and lock this. It's not really a point for discussion. PM a mod if that's a problem.
