I used to love collecting bootlegs, both audio and video, through snail mail trading and B+P's back about 6 years ago. University got hard though, and my hobby died. Now I'm graduated though, and I just found my Pearl Jam Audio Archives DVD's in my old closet at my parents house. Downloaded Winamp on their computer and am now listening the shit out of them. The most recent bootlegs I remember collecting were these audio archives, minus a few select video DVD's from the '06 tour.
So... can someone bring me up to speed in a nutshell of what has happened in the trading world over the past 5 years??? I'd like to get back to collecting, but not really sure where to start... Did anything like the Audio Archives happen for videos on Blu Ray discs or anything??? That'd be pretty sweet.
Also, last year I dumped a bunch of money on the official bootlegs of the first two legs of the 2000 tour. Bought them as 2 separate sets, but haven't been able to find the third leg as a set anywhere... Anybody able to help me out?
Thanks folks, any kind of help is much appreciated!

In a nutshell, postage has doubled, nobody wants to wait for the mail, most people want to download everything and they want it yesterday. There are still several people willing to do traditional b+ps, myself included. No video archives but hard drives started traveling around regularly.

I've got a pair of 1.5TB hard drives that beg to differ.

Yep, just ask Stevie Ray Vaughan.

To answer the initial question, "What's happened in the last 5 years?" Video-wise, I think the answer should be, "not much."
IMO, You Tube has ruined the DVD community. What's surfaced 2008 to present? OMN stops at 2006.
That's just what I've been sober enough to remember to archive, BDs excluded. Yeah, there are a lot more from earlier tours, but they also played a lot more shows then...so it should at least balance out.
