After spending the better part of my 20's taping/trading/mailing/dubbing/burning/downloading I have really pulled back from the realm of PJ bootlegs in recent years. I spent a few hours on Sunday sifting through the odds and ends on my computer that I had downloaded and never watched and realized that video bootlegs have come a long way since the days of 4th-Gen VHS copies.
All I really have from recent history are the shows I've been to, and a few of the proshot vids that are in circulation (maybe Reading and Lollapalooza 2007?). Can someone recommend some high quality DVDs that I should track down to rekindle my bootleg love?
What about all those South America 2005 bootlegs? Which one is worthwhile? How about those 5-cam mixes from Brazil 2011 or London 2009?

It might suffer from the sped up-ness of modern live Pearl Jam, but there's no sloppiness and Ed hasn't gone off the deep end with his absurdly breathy singing and jaw warble.

I'm surprised people are ripping into the 2006 tour. Personally, I think 2006 was the best Ed sounded apart from maybe 2000. 2008-2011, I thought Ed was really hit and miss but he seems to have his swing back this year. But I thought the '06 tour was absolutely stellar.
Seriously, so many GREAT DVDs from this year -
Albany Grand Rapids Cincinnati LA 1 San Fran 1 San Fran 2 San Fran 3
Reading Festival Arnhem Barcelona Lisbon 2 Bologna Verona Milano Pistoia Hawaii

Thanks for the list. That's a lot to digest however, can you narrow it down to 2-3 that are "must see" DVDs in terms of quality of show and camera work?

I'd go with Albany, San Fran 3, Arnhem, Verona and Pistoia
