I'm trying to download the PJ tour movie from "spreadingthejam" but my internet is too slow and after about 4.5/5 hours the download windows says that the session or download has timed itself out. The first part im trying to download is 700MB. I'm using windows explorer 6 or 7. Any ways to get around this, or any better way of downloading this with a slow internet connection?

You could configure your network/system to accept a bigger packet size (MTU), but it won't do any good if the source of the download, or your ISP sends/accepts a standard/or smaller packet.

I don't know anything about anything but trying to use a download manager like that one http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ (which I have never used but looks good enough) might help with resuming downloads once they've stopped

Like I said, I have a shit internet connection. AND this video is worht it. My common practise is to just start downloading at say 7.00 or 8.00 and let it run through the night.

I'm going to give this a go, it looks like it might do the trick. Failing that I think I'm just going to find someone with high-speed internet and ask them to download it for me.
