I have a sony 16X Dual Layer DVD burner. I have both Roxio 7 and Nero Burning ROM 6. If I download a DVD and burn it at 8x it will play back just fine on my computer. But if I put in my DVD player I get choppiness, lagging and sometimes my player will just spit it out.

If I burn at 4x it seems to play just fine. But it doesn't seem to be my burner because I just recieved Red Rocks 1995 in a b+p and it does the same thing.

Could it be my disks?? I think they are Fuji DVD-R and rated at 8x.

i was having the same problem; but then i cleaned the lens on my dvd player and that helped a lot

That didn't seem to fix the problem.
