I've downloaded dBpowerAMP but it doesn't work as advertised.

Can someone help me turn a handful of AAC files into MP3s?

i'm not sure if you can do that

I managed to do it with a trial version of Xilisoft MP3 WAV Converter. Worked like a charm.
