I'm using Azureus as my Bit Torrent client. I use a Norton Firewall but I turned it off to use the Windows Firewall because it seemed easier to figure out how to forward ports. I thought I have done everything but when ever I test using Azureus it comes up with an NAT error. Plus I am always getting the yellow smiley face. I have looked at all the normal FAQ's and Bit Torrent sites but now just feel more confused than ever.
Can someone help me to figure out what I'm doing wrong?

I have asked this same question a couple of times, but I have not gotten a response. I am using azureus too and it says I am using port 6881 (I think) that should be going aroung the firewall.

you want to turn off windows firewall, turn back on norton, open the norton firewall program, go to configure, then click the programs tab, then find azureus, click allow always. if you have a router you will need to forward the ports on it. if you do have a router, let me know and i will try and walk you through it, also make sure you have the latest java appliciation installed

Hey thanks a lot! I'm not sure if my desktop has a router or not (Yes I'm stupid), but my laptop has a router that runs off of my desktop, however I will mainly be using the desktop as the main source for downloading, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not. Also does the cable modem I use have any effect on this? I will go ahead and forward ports on Norton's firewall. Let me know what else I can do.

Ok, I think I got it worked out. There are green smileys which is good. I went to my Dell Router and the IP address was off by one number at the end so I fixed it and everything is pumping out amazing speeds. Hopefully it stays like that.
