Ok, when I plug my guitar into my computer to record, it always comes out sounding very low, even though the volume on the guitar is way up and it shouldn't be happening. Is there anyway to adjust the volume sensitivity so it isn't so low?

It's probably the line-in volume settings in Windows. Open your volume controls and make sure not one catagory is muted or on low volume.

The level that comes out of a guitar is very low, and it needs to be run through an amplifier to boost it. So to get a good level directly into your computer, you should run it through an amp first, and take the output of the amp into the computer.

Acoustic or electric guitar? Regardless, you are going to need a pre-amp to get decent volume into the PC.

This is similar to recording Vinyl -> Line-In on the PC. You must use a pre-amp or the volume levels coming off the LP will be super low.
