OK, I've tried to research this, and the Microsoft "help" page hasn't done much. When attempting to save a File in Word 2003, I get a file permission error with the file path in parenthesis, and the document doesn't save.

I didn't associate any passwords with these files, and I have plenty of room on my hard drive...Any ideas on what could be wrong and how to remedy the problem?

Even if you can't help me directly, please feel free to point me to sites/messageboards that could help!

Maybe the file is read-only. Right-click on the file, go to properties, and uncheck read only.

are you trying to save it to a folder you don't have permission to use?

Perhaps you should try saving the file to your desktop or something and see if it will save then.
