I read the FAQ on both DAD and sidewalkcrusaders (sp?)

I am still a bit baffled by all of it

I just wanna know how I can get my red numbers off the tracker so to speek

Like say "KID A" and "KID B" have no numbers next to there name and I have a red 6881 next to my name,..

I wanna get that red 6881 off, I think it will get me faster upload and downlaod speeds if i'm not mistaken

Could anyone help me out?

Someone posted this on DAD but i can't remember what thread

1. what program are you using?
2. what sort of internet connection do you have (school, home, cable, etc)
3. do you have a router?

try using the feature "Plugins->UPnP", it basically tries to open a port on your dads router. or you might ask him to forward a port (standeard is 6881) to your machine's ip.

http://www.testmyports.com is a happy little resource to check if a port is forwarding correctly or not. (though azureus has a way to check as well).

http://www.portforward.com can give you instructions on how to forward ports. with pictures and everything.

although i'm a little curious how you'r enot sure if you're behind a router or not. it's a box with flashing lights and cords coming out of it that sits next to the computer...
