I have posted a few threads regarding saving images for web pages in adobe. When I go to save an image for the web nothing happens so I figured I would try it with fireworks. Can anybody tell me how to do this? In adobe you save image for web, fireworks does not have an option like that. Can somebody tell me the process of saving an image for the web in Fireworks, or maybe if there is a freeware program I can use instead that works better? My web page is done and published I just need to re-do the pictures so they load faster and maybe people will buy some of my products! Thanks in advance for the help!

You should be able to go into File --> Export Preview, and there will be the option to choose jpg or png etc.

OK I have been there before, now what do I need to do. How much qaulity do I take away so that shoppers with dial up can look at the site without it taking minutes to upload the pictures?

Hmm, I'm not really great when it comes to this kind of thing so maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I would say you should be able to get a png in the 10-20k range that would still look reasonable and be good for dial-up users too.
