just wondering if anyone knew how difficult it is to install an ide dvd burner into an expansion bay on a computer. i just ordered one but am a little concerned that it might be more difficult than i thought with connecting all the sound card shit. anybody know of any good guides or anything like that? thanks
Step 1: Turn Computer Off/Unplug
Step 2: Open Tower
Step 3: Insert New Drive in empty bay
Step 4: Plug drive cord in empty slot on the motherboard
Step 5: Close Tower
Step 6: Plug Computer IN/Turn On

WRONG.
There's two things you've got to plug into the drive.

yeah the big cord thing AND the little cord thing. when it comes to PC hardware i'm pretty retarded but i have been able to successfully install a DVD burner, a CD burner and an extra HD that all work fine. Just follow the instructions and you should be ok.
