I've always known my way around computers and audio/video shit fairly well, but one thing I never got comfortable with was networking. I have a wireless router that I managed to install in my house, and it does a good job with mine and my wife's iPhones, our laptop and the PS3, but that's it.
TVersity is running on my laptop and my does a good job with the Home Theatre setup in my den through the PS3. TVersity is idiotproof and took no effort to get running whatsoever. But we now have a second, brand-new theatre in the front of the house; I also picked up a Blu-Ray system for the new theatre (which has a LAN input on the back) as well as a 1tb hard drive for all my torrents and shit.
My question is this: how do I connect and install the hard drive in the den so that I can broadcast all of it's media to the new home theatre in the front of the house? I know I'll need a second wireless router for the new Blu-Ray reciever, but what after that? I want to avoid TVersity, and just want to be able to access the hard drive from a different part of the house, but does that mean I'll need to buy a second CPU as well?
