I have a TV productions class and we are suppose to make a DVD by getting stuff off of tapes and i was wondering if it is possible to get stuff from DVD's onto another DVD.

I was going to put all of the "Matt Cam" videos from TB2K and MSG1 onto one DVD for my project but i thought since you have to access them in the bonus features, could i still do this using Studio 9

previously i said "Pinacle 9" which was wrong

I don't know about pinnacle studio 9, but certainly you could use DVD Decrypter and then convert the VOB files to Mpeg2 or avi. The mp2 or avi files could then be imported into Pinnacle. Pinnacle is very picky about file formats so I'm pretty sure it wouldn't accept VOB files, and it definatly will not rip a DVD.

To get DVD Decrypter, google it and download it from the website--it's free. From there it should be straightforward to find the mattcam videos (probably under title 2) and extract them to your HD. Then use a program (virtualdub perhaps?) to encode the VOB to avi or mp2 which can be easily manipulated in Pinnacle.

A word of caution: when using pinnacle make sure all your sources have the same framerate.
