My HD is already partitioned into 3 spaces, 2 30GB drives and 1 60 GB drive.
What I'd like to do is have 1 20GB drive and 1 100GB drive.

All 3 drives are wiped clean, no OS to worry about.

Any ideas?

Can't Windows do it on install? fdisk also works.

On install it shows the 3 drives, asks which you want to install to. There's no option to combine or anything.

I'm not sure how to do it through fdisk. F10 to go to setup and then find it?

when you go to load windows it should ask you about the partitioning and show you what it's currently like. can you not just change it at that stage?

Correct. It shows the 3 partitions but does not offer any way to change them.

well, you've got it all cleared out so it doesn't matter if you delete all the partitions. can't you just delete all three so it takes you back to the complete space of 120GB, then create the two new partitions the way you want?

OK, if Windows install doesn't give you the option (could've sworn it did, but it's been awhile), there are a couple of other options:

1) FDISK http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/article.asp?article=articles/archive/l0508/51l08/51l08.asp&guid=
Might be a little complicated.

2) Windows-based Partitioning tool (I've successfully used Norton Partition Magic)
You'd have to install Windows and use the tool to then resize the partitions and create new ones.
