When i got to Nova Rock festival i want to record (video) Pearl Jam's set and Smashing Pumpkin's set.
my camera allows three resolutions....640 x 480, 320 x 240, 160 x 120
If i record on 640 x 480 i can only get 24 mins of vid.. but for 320 x 240 i can get like 1 hour 39 mins. I wondered if i recorded on 320 x 140 will the picture image be crap if I copy onto a DVD and try watching it on a TV?
Also for the recording bit..... I’m not gonna be at the front as i will have to stand through so much shit and wait all day. So I’m just gonna try and get an ice spot. I don’t see myself holding the camera for 1 hour 39 mins or however the shows will be..... Reckon I could just buy a little tripod and maybe find a gap?? Anyone got any exp or recommendations on getting a spot?
thanks all
Ed

320 x 240 will look mediocre on a TV, and if you are far away from the band without an optical zoom, it will probably look like garbage.
If you can get close, it might be worth it. Otherwise, if it was me, I wouldnt bother.
