Well mwave.com ended up having the best deal--$140 shipped. Which was kinda weird because their 2-day FedEx shipping was the cheapest of all the shipping options, including ground I hope for that much $ I see a noticeable difference, particularly when doing audio recording and running lots of plug-ins.

Upgrading your notebook is mad easy. There is a little door on the bottom side of your machine. Take it off, snap in memory.
