I just DL'd a 289.02MB torrent in 5:17, and my speeds maxed out at 1.30MB/sec. I think my cable company must have just done some upgrades to their system.

i have about the same speed down, a bit more actually. i wish i had more upspeed though, it's only 40kb/s :?

I was Dlding at 800KB/s and uplding at 75 KB/s last night. I've got a dsl modem. It's good enough for little old me, atm.

man, i wish. did you change any specific setting or are you running it on default mode?

It's just my service provider. I run on default mode. Over time, without changing anything, my speeds have gone from about 45 up to 60 or 70, and now they regularly exceed 70. It's just upgrades that the cable company is doing. It must be. I haven't changed anything. I just tell my programs to go as fast as the wires will carry them.

yeah that's what happened with my DL speeds. it went from 600kb/s to over double that. My UL speeds however, have never changed.

i hit about 1.1 MB/sec down and 1.3 MB/sec up at the same time on a wireless connection while snagging some stuff from dime the other day. nothing like a blazing fast university connection and N-draft wireless card...

jesus christ, i'd shy away in fear from even contemplating downloading a file that big. it would take me days.

That's a pretty small torrent. 40 minutes of music in FLAC. Full concerts or DVD's are much bigger.

Or you could get the entire PJ 2006 tour in FLAC. Only 62GB!!!
