I put it into the computer and turn it on and i hear a "Beep" re-curring inside. I paid quite a bit of money for it and am quite pissed off, is there anything I've done wrong for that noise to happen, or is it just simply incompatible with my PC? My PC has 2 x 256mb PC3200 DDR sticks of ram in it, I put a 1GB Pc3200 DDR stick of ram in it and I get the noise...

im pretty sure you have to put those in as pair. meaning, you have to get another 1 gig stick, and match it and put it in

so for example, youre computer currently has 256mb ram. you want to upgrade it to 1gig. you open up your PC and see you have 2 128mb sticks. so you have to buy 2 512 sticks, take out both 128 sticks, put it in the two 512 sticks. you now have 1 gig of ram. if you have four open slots, you can leave the 2 128 in to give you 1.256 gig of ram

It currently has 512.. well, 441mb I think it is, getting technical. Two sticks of 256. Maybe I could try getting another 1gb, but I don't want to spend the money knowing it won't work. I mean sticks of ram are bought in packs of 1 right? So that means if you could only have 2 sticks together, they wouldn't sell them singley. But I don't know, I could be wrong. I'll talk around to a few people and get some feedback from you guys, and if it doesn't work, then I'll sell it to you guys or something.

Depending on your system, it may indeed have to be doubled with an identical RAM stick.
Try removing your other, lower RAM chips and just using the 1GB and see if that works for you.
