I'm not a fan of this decision, especially before a style has been developed for the upgrade. Upgrading just to upgrade?...or feeling awfully confident in the new group's code? Is it really even an upgrade?
I don't mean to be overly critical, here, and I've faced the same choice (and opted otherwise), but I don't think this is the right choice just yet. I've said what I have to say.

There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes that made the decision necessary. First, we need to upgrade the wiki software. However that cannot be done until we've upgraded the server to PHP5. However, the phpBB2.x software doesnt work with PHP5. So that means, we have to use phpBB3, hence, why you are now posting on a phpBB3 board. We just had to get past the bottleneck so we could start doing other things. There are still a lot of upgrades and changes we are working on that will make this place a lot better in the long run

Buggy,
I'm missing all but two of my PMs in my inbox! Will the PMs in my inbox and saved messages reappear after the technical overhaul and the original/upgraded server is back up?!! Or is this just because we are on the phpBB3 that it is showing like this?

Okay...good enough. I will point out that I've seen several phpBB bigshots claiming they will eschew the new version at least until it matures somewhat.
At any rate, this style completely sucks. I'll gladly offer whatever help I can in developing anything but this current "proSilver" crapfest. It gets worse everytime I look at it.

There are other options available if you look in your control panel.

Well, that's quite interesting...i would have never guessed that being logged in would have given me the ugly style rules. I feel much better now, and a little stoopid.
That site has almost convinced me to switch to Opera.
Does the Opera interface significantly differ from IE or Firefox?
I'm actually giving it a run right now, and so far I really like the whole skin thing. And there are little differences, but if you can use Firefox, you can use Opera.

Opera's a quick, solid browser, but its UI quirks and inability to properly render a noticeable number of pages kept me from using it very often at all. I'll give it another shot after a couple more releases. I'm pretty attached to my Firefox extensions anyhow.
