Just make sure all parts are completely dry before you use it.

I had a friend drop his Laptop in a bathtub full of water. The computer was off. He didnt touch it for like two weeks....it was completely dry....and the damn thing still works today. Pretty crazy....

I recently saw a thing about putting your keyboard in teh dishwasher to clean it. Again, they just said to let it completely dry before plugging it back in. I'll stick to alcohol on a cotton ball, thanks.

i've never actually seen it but a month or so ago they had a piece on this on NPR. They're actually drycleaning companies out there for electronics.
