lately my computer is EXCEPTIONALLY slow...

i havent really installed anything new...

i frequently run programs like adaware, CC cleaner, defrag, all the typical utils.
lately i notice it is when i use more memory intensive programs that DO scanning, it seems to take ALOT longer than it used to... i have windows XP SP2 2.53 Ghz 1 GB RAM...

help me find my problem and i'll give you my first born child

You might be subject to heavy spyware/adware. If I were you, I'd just backup all my important files to dvdr, reformat, and reinstall. Use Firefox only. I recommend WinXP with sp1b.

Another thing you could do is add/remove programs from the control panel. Get rid of the unnecessary stuff.
