this is sorta far fetched but...
at some point, the dvd player in our living room broke and my dad bought a new one. the new set included 4.1 speakers, but the set-up we already had was better, so said speakers were stashed in a closet somewhere. would it be at all possible to, somehow, hook up said speakers to my laptop? i imagine it would require the use of a pre-amp, and then something that connects to the bare ends of the speaker wires. or something.

any help would be much appreciated!
