I started using FF last weekend and am really enjoying the experience. Can I get a short list of must have extensions?
IE Tab - Great for those few sites that don't work in FF. It loads the page in FF, but uses the IE engine to load it.
Video Downloader - Downloads embedded video.

bold = essential, imo
I used Tabbrowser Preferences for a long time, but Tab Mix Plus pretty much blows it away, plus it eliminated the need for the Disable Targets for Downloads extension and another one too, I think.

if that's the one which shows the weather forecast on the status bar, then i just got it and i might be a little bit in lust with it.
Cooliris (think that's what it's called- you hover over a link and it previews the page) is good too, just takes some getting used to
and the dictionary thing

i'm not even sure if this is standard in firefox, but i also have the Oak Vocabuary 0.6.5 extention installed and i just used the spellcheck and accidentally added the word as an ok word rather than correcting it. i want to undo this but can't seem to find where this is stored.

If it saved it to the default dictionary, it should be in the persdict.dat file within your Firefox profile. You can open it with a text editor and delete the word. I don't use that extension, but it may use a similar file within its own sub-folder that you can probably edit.
