I have trend micro on the PC I just bought as a free trial- I think it's a really crappy program. When I first set up the PC, it immediately disabled my internet connection and it took forever to figure out where to change the settings etc- it's a very non- user friendly software. I've downloaded AVG and Zone Alarm and this weekend will be deleting the Trend Micro crap to install the free stuff that's never given me a problem.

Malice, I share your pain. However, I not only found Trend Micro to be a pain, but Vista's User Acount Control doesn't ever seem to save the settings and thus makes it impossible to use the interwebs. Additionally, whats the likelihood that all those anti virus programs are themselves free of spyware? You know they've got to be mining your data like whoa.
