I used BitTornado before UTorrent. Was alright. Other (apparent) decent clients are:

Bitrocket
BitTyrant
BTG
Deluge
Enhanced CTorrent
Halite
KTorrent
MLDonkey
qBittorrent
Transmission

I second the proposition of transmission : it's lightweight, efficient, the only thing is that it don't have all the kind of fine-tuning you're allowed to do with azureus or µtorrent.

Hell yes psychobain (btw, nice avatar !), i am running my comp with linux and i didnt realize that transmission wasn't ported for windows. It's sad because it works really great under linux and is very light in ressources.

looks like Deluge and Halite are good options

Deluge is a great way to go through traffic shape

but both are new programs, so

Bitlord is banned from a lot of private trackers.

Shit ay? I didn't know that. Oh well, it was just a suggestion, surely there will be somethin' a bit better.

Don't get me wrong, I used it too. But if you read the rules from certain sites they ban it. And other clients based on the same programme. Like bitspirit, and others. I'm not sure of the reason.
