 Post subject: connecting ipod to a tv

I just bought an 80gb classic ipod and have all this room to store things and would like to run videos/pictures through my tv. suggestions?

i was gonna suggest he use the universal dock and just run an S-video cable to his tv cause that's what i do, but it appears that the docks don't have s-video out anymore so you'd have to buy one of those $50 cables regardless.

The thing that sucks is the ipod itself doesnt have a video output. You need something to connect to the ipod with that connector at the bottom. If the ipod just had a video out, whether it be s-video or rca.

I assume that the ipod doesn't send video signal out the mini jack, huh? Because I have a cable for my portable DVD player that sends mini to R/W/Y RCA jacks (stereo plus video).

I have a cable like that but ipod only sends audio out of the 1/8th inch jack.
