Ok, so I switched to the Ubuntu operating system on my laptop while I was at school this past quarter. I got home today and discovered that for whatever reason, when I try and connect to my wireless connection at home (through the router), Ubuntu gives me a password prompt. When I had Vista it was just able to connect right to the network without any passwords. I do remember, though, that when I friend set up our router, he gave the network a name ('wilco') and a password (that I don't remember) that I would probably need to use when I connect with my laptop the first time. I can't remember if this was the case or not, but I know there was password involved somehow, and I'm positive that's what I need to log on with Ubuntu.

So, since I can't remember it, I need to somehow retrieve it I guess, right? I suppose I could just completely re-set up the router, but that would be a pain in the ass. I imagine there's some way I could access the router on the home computer and retrieve the password? Maybe? Anyone know how?

well, for whatever reason the admin thing didn't work, and the program they suggested didn't find any passwords on my computer. I think this may be because the router was set up using a different computer than this one (my mom did it at work). So it's looking like I'll just have to re-do everything, then.
