The other day I was messing around with the drivers for my usb connectors. All my usbs should be running at high speed since they're 2.0, but for some reason I would always get a "this device could be played faster if connected to a high speed..." message or something like that.
I was able to update two of the USB host controllers that were read as universal to show up as enhanced (all 8 should be 2.0), but while trying to get the other ones to update the mouse and keyboard just stopped. I know I didn't mess with every single USB controller but none of them work with the keyboard and mouse. The weird part is if I plug in my wireless router into any of the usb slots it gets detected no problem. I have no idea what is wrong. I tried using another mouse and keyboard but no luck.
Fortunately I have the hard drive partitioned and the other partition is fine. It is only after windows loads that the devices are no longer detected.

Nevermind. I just went and repaired windows entirely. But I am interested if anyone knows a quick fix to this, or at least knows how to get my USBs working as they should.
