 Post subject: Windows Media Player(Vista)?

Location: Where my last step left me.....
Does anyone with windows media player for vista finds that it runs slow? Everytime I use it it seems like it takes forever to load anything and play? Can someone please help?

I'm afraid I can't help you. I have 32 bit vista (I don't know why) but I don't use windows media player as I'm stuck with Itunes. Isn't tech support grand? One can only get a question answered if it has to do with torrents. :haha:

It takes forever to load and play for me too (as does iTunes). I've got no advice though, just thought I would chime in.

Here is some advice not entirely related, but may be of use to others. Whenever I played songs in WMP in Vista the songs would always skip towards the end and it would drive me crazy.
Here is the fix:
Go Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > it will then bring up your speakers or whatever > "right click" on your speakers and go to properties > go to the "Enhancements" tab > then click "disable all enhancements"

Now songs won't skip in WMP. It may revert back to using enhancements when you update your speakers drivers, in which case just disable the enhancements again. Hope that helped somebody. :wink:
