Part 1:

Okies, so I've got myself an MD player (MZ-NH700) and a mic, so now I'm constantly playing around with it before I go about recording shows everywhere. Thing is, it always just ends up being one big long track. I can start a new track by hitting pause twice, but of course that means I'm going to miss out on something. Is there a way to not have to do this?

Part 2:
I seem to be having problems with the OMA>WAV conversion as well, even though I've followed all the instructions from the Sony conversion tool info. Output size remains at 0kb, even though the program is able to recognise my convertible tracks. Which means the conversion button never became available.

i have an n910 and i know you can manually set the track marks by pressing the track mark button during recording. and there are probably programs out there to split your files. not sure you'll find many people here with experience using the nh700. if you need help with your MD, ask over at T-Board. they have an extensive forum for MD users - you may even be able to search for your answers if they've been asked before.

ive never done much recording (in fact ive never even used an MD) but i would recommend just recording 1 long track and editing it when you get home. If you plan on spreading the shows you tape then most people would be pissed if there were small gaps between each song
