 Post subject: Computer To TV

So I moved up in the world and got a flat screen. How can I get the PJ video's off of my laptop to play on my Big Screen T.V.?

You might do better,a nd cheaper, going vga->dvi->hdmi using just passive adapters.

That easy? Get that converter box connect the wires then play the video off of my lap top and it goes right to the T.V.?

Well, you must be outputting your desktop at a resolution your TV can accept. For example: 1280x720. You will need to experiment to find the best settings. I highly recommend going over to:

..and reading some of the postings under "HTPC" or do a search for your brand laptop and see what they say over on that forum. I use MediaPortal as a replacement for the standard Vista desktop on my HTPC, but that may be overkill for what you want to do.

Thanks......Know anything about taking vids off of a comact DVR? I'm going to record the UFC fight tonight and would like to burn it onto my laptop "s DVR
